Despite its vulgar name the duduk in its mysterious and exalted sounding can compete with organ and can perform academic and even church music, not only Armenian, but the Western music as well. On this evening the guests of the theater heard a roll call between Armenia and the West, thanks to Marina Omelchenko, the main organist of the Roman Catholic cathedral in Moscow, and Oganes Kazaryan, head of the Moscow school of duduk, the laureate of international contests.
