The XIIth tournament of experts in geography will be dedicated to "Golden Ring of Bosporan Kingdom" The Russian Geographical society holds the XIIth tournament for young geographers. This year the intellectual competition is dedicated to global touristic project "Golden Ring of Bosporan Kingdom" and will be held with support of Ministry of Resorts, Tourism and Olympic heritage of Krasnodar region, Ministry of Resorts and Tourism of Republic of Crimea, Ministry of Economic Development of Rostov oblast and General Cultural Department of the city of Sevastopol.
The tournament participants will be asked subject questions related to ancient state history, and the winners of intellectual championship in 2019 will go on a journey on one of the routes of "Golden Ring of Bosporan Kingdom" project.
The tournament of geographers has been held by the Russian Geographical society since 2010. Hundreds of schoolchildren participate in it annually, and more than ten teams are invited to the tournament final. The participants are offered to show their knowledge not only in geography but also in related branches of science.
The annual tournament will be held in two rounds - absentia and presentia. Schoolchildren of 8-10 classes are invited to participate. To participate in absentia (preliminary) round it's required to read the Regulation on the tournament, send an application with the photo of a team and answers to the tasks of preliminary round before March 29, 2019 by E-mail to the address: turnirznatokov@mail.ru.
Up to 16 teams which will get maximum points in the preliminary round will be invited to take part in the presentia round. The date, time and place of final round will be informed to the participants later.
